New Ideas Utilise Old Materials & Design

We all have a different idea of what colours make us happy – that’s obvious from the wide range available in emulsions.  I was amazed to see all the up todate and verry modern metal and element effect finishes.  These look remarkably stylish when adjoinin an also very up to date wooden bark effect or concrete worktop and wall surround look.  At home we have just had a bark effect wall cover all around our new kitchen – instead of ceramic tiles.  We love the boldness of the colour of medium oak wood and the clever effects makes it look like a tree bark has been flattend out for the purpose.  This luxe laminate is supposed to be tougher than the older laminate style work top and counters.  That side has yet to be seen as it’s only been around for a year or so.  One thing we have noted, we were   admonishing ourselves for not having decorated the kitchen walls before installation of thye special wall effect.  so glad we didn’t.  Apparently newly emulsioned walls are a no-no as they retain so much moisture for months.  Water based paint, of course.  Phew what a relief.
