The very best way of enlivening one’s surroundings is to decorate the place. Wjether this is a full blown ceilings, walls, doors etc, just changing up from one colour scheme to another really does raise the ante as far as keeping up with trends. The fashionable and trendy home magazines are full of ideas – colour schemes come and go for the home and office, exactly the same as in the clothing side of manufacture We are at the whim of the designers and advertisers as each fad comes and goes. As decorating a home is much more expensive than just changing jacket for the latest colour/fabric/style combo, much panning and foresight is put into place to make the most success of any scheme. Sometimes I look over these magazines and get ideas fior my bedroom – it will involve a great deal of movement f furniture and pictures, so I tend to do a massive hangeover just every few years – the last one took me 10 years!
