Ther is much to be taken into account when having a kitchen replaced. I started off thinking of hacving cabinets smartened up, worktops replaced completely and the tired and almost dead white goods replaced. As I discovered from someone nearby who had a partial kitchen jobbie, there are so many permutations that it can make you quite giddy just working through them to decide what exactly is needed. The fridge is a definite tick for change, it’s only 4 years old and not a patch on the one it replaced. The dishwasher is alo going as it makes a worrying kind of fizzing instead of that reassuringly familiar rush of water filling the machine as soon as the on button is engaged . . . The double oven and hob are most definitely going too. The main oven has a variable thermostat nowadays, making the accurate cooking of anything more complex than a casserole rather more tiresome than needs be. There’s not a lot wrong with the top oven/grill but it’s attached to the main oven so has to go.
