We’ve been looking round for some creative decorating and interior design ideas for quite some time. I particularly find it difficult to make decisions and we end up with several mood boards, thousands of ideas scrapped onto a mood board and after weeks of indecision, we’re still at the ‘shall we, shan’t we’ phase. I like to match all the soft furnishings and window hangings. It doesn’t have to be as boring and old fashioned as that may sound. I had a very pretty shawl some years ago and it had been used to adorn a battered table in the sitting room. It became the focal point when we had the room decorated in ivory silk for main walls but a gloriously rich dark red chimney breast really popped and it is still a talking point when I have visitors. The shall is still evident and I have enhanced that with cushions that pick out exactly the same shade of deep crimson. Very impressive, even if I say so myself.
